Terms of Service

Last updated: May 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FlyEnv, including the FlyEnv website, documentation, desktop application, licenses, updates, and related services.

FlyEnv is operated by Pengfei Xu under the FlyEnv brand. If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at [email protected].

Product

FlyEnv is a cross-platform desktop application for managing local development environments on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It helps developers install, configure, and switch between runtimes, databases, web servers, AI tools, and other local development services.

FlyEnv may offer a free community edition and paid licenses or subscriptions for premium features, expanded limits, or support.

Eligibility

By using FlyEnv, you confirm that you can legally enter into these Terms and that your use of FlyEnv complies with applicable laws and regulations.

License and Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use FlyEnv for personal or business development purposes.

You may not:

  • copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease paid licenses unless we give written permission
  • attempt to bypass license activation, usage limits, or access controls
  • use FlyEnv to violate laws, infringe third-party rights, or distribute harmful software
  • interfere with FlyEnv services, APIs, update systems, or licensing systems

Some paid licenses may be bound to a device, hardware identifier, GitHub account, email address, or license key. License transfer options, if available, are described in the product or account interface.

Payments

Paid purchases may be processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle may handle checkout, payment processing, taxes, invoices, buyer support related to payments, and returns.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Before completing a purchase, you are responsible for reviewing the product, price, billing period, renewal terms, and any applicable limits shown at checkout.

For payment, receipt, subscription, cancellation, or refund assistance, you may visit paddle.net or contact us at [email protected].

Subscriptions and Renewals

If a product is sold as a subscription, it renews according to the billing period shown at checkout unless you cancel it before renewal. Subscription cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past payments unless required by law or covered by our Refund Policy.

Updates and Availability

We may update, modify, add, or remove features in FlyEnv to improve performance, compatibility, security, or product quality. We try to keep FlyEnv available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every operating system, runtime, extension, or third-party tool.

Third-Party Software and Services

FlyEnv may help install, manage, or connect to third-party software such as programming runtimes, databases, web servers, AI tools, package managers, GitHub, Ko-fi, analytics providers, or payment processors. Your use of those third-party products or services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Support

Support is provided primarily by email and community channels.

Phone support is not currently available.

Refunds

Refund terms are described in our Refund Policy. If Paddle processes your purchase, refund requests may also be handled through paddle.net.

Privacy

Your use of FlyEnv is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information.

Intellectual Property

FlyEnv, the FlyEnv name, website content, documentation, user interface, logos, and related materials are owned by their respective rights holders. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

Open-source components included with or used by FlyEnv remain subject to their own licenses.

Disclaimers

FlyEnv is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that FlyEnv will meet every requirement, be uninterrupted, or be free from defects.

You are responsible for backing up your projects, databases, configuration files, certificates, and other data before making changes with FlyEnv or any third-party tool.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlyEnv and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of FlyEnv after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
